Jordan Baccus is a Master of Public Health with a Concentration in Community Health & Health Behavior. With a strong interest in promoting health equality, she aims to work with ethical groups to engage communities in health that can reduce chronic disease as a health disparity, and ensure fair access to public healthcare services.

 

At the age of 13, she was diagnosed with multiple ischemic strokes, her recovery journey began at the University of North Carolina Children's Hospital, where she spent four months undergoing treatment, learning to adapt in rehabilitation, and pushing through significant physical and emotional challenges. Five years later, at 18, she was diagnosed with epilepsy, marking the beginning of another chapter in her health journey. Despite these challenges, Jordan has demonstrated a tough determination to thrive and positively impact the world around her. Her personal experience can help prevent chronic diseases that are close to her heart.
